Here is the link to the story from WKBT Channel 8 out of LaCrosse, WI!
They do a little bragging about their 2nd place trophy - well deserved if you ask me!
I received an email from WKBT telling me that the 2nd place trophy is "proudly on display in our sports department" (so I'm thinking they had fun too)...

"Because of the genorosity of her community, Melrose-Mindoro's Jessica Hubbard will be able to run in this summer's U.S. Transplant Games.
You may remember our story with Jessica from this past fall. She received a successful kidney transplant from her father at the age of eight.
Now, she's a successful runner in high school. She's going to be able to compete in the National Transplant Games because of a benefit for her Saturday at Melrose-Mindoro High School.
A kick-ball tournament, along with a run-walk and auction raised $3,000.
NewsChannel 8 had a kickball team for the benefit, with a team name "Kickball You Can Count On".
They all said they had a great time as well as bringing home a second place trophy."
